Yes, Gorge Road Dental accepts all private health fund cards. You will receive a rebate from your health fund towards the treatment we provide. The rebate amount will depend on the level of cover you have with your fund.
If requested we are able to give you a health fund estimate prior to the commencement of your treatment plan, to give you an idea of how much rebate your health fund will pay towards your treatment.
We encourage you to become familiar with your health fund insurance policy and will work with you to maximise the rebate you are entitled to.
Gorge Road Dental asks that you come prepared to settle your account in full on the day of treatment unless prior arrangements have been made.
We accept cash, credit card and EFTPOS. Direct deposit can be arranged on request.
We are able to process rebates for most health funds on the spot through our electronic HICAPS system so please remember to bring your private health fund card with you.
Firstly, welcome and thank you for choosing Gorge Road Dental! The team looks forward to meeting you.
At Gorge Road Dental we generally book new, non-emergency patients in to see Dr Li for a one hour consultation. In this appointment Dr Li will talk to you about any areas of concern you might have or specific results you would like to achieve and will then conduct a thorough assessment of your teeth and gums, which may include x-rays.
He will then discuss the results of this with you and will provide you with further treatment options, should these be necessary. Dr Li may suggest further treatment with himself or he may refer you to our Oral Health Therapist, Georgina, or to an external specialist, depending on the treatment required.
We recommend your child first visit the dentist for a check up when he or she is around two years of age. However when you come for your regular dental check ups you might like to bring your child with you so they can become familiar with the environment and meet the Gorge Road Dental team.
We recommend that you don’t wait until your child has pain or a problem to visit us for the first time, as this can cause a negative association with the dentist which might make future visits more difficult.
Our Oral Health Therapist, Georgina, is experienced in children’s dentistry and is used to making a child’s first visit a positive and fun one.
At Gorge Road Dental we do everything possible to make coming to the dentist a relaxed experience. Our team will endeavour to make you as comfortable as we can and will do our best to ease any worries by taking the time to explain the procedure to you, in as much detail as you would like to hear. We use various techniques to minimise, if not eradicate, dental discomfort throughout your procedure, so you can be sure you are in safe hands.
If you have a dental emergency please contact the team at Gorge Road Dental to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. At this appointment one of our dentists will relieve your discomfort, assess the issue and give you options for further treatment to fix the problem.
